Music Video Of The Day

music video of the day: "All Night" by Michaeal Imperial

Shot in Vietnam―a place that has fascinated Michael both in cuisine and martial art forms―the video shadows the tale of a young Vietnamese boy whose nightly activity ranges from criminal to sexual.

Toronto based production house Revolver Films put together this rad piece to accompany the sick track that Michael Imperial made in a mere evening (hence the title of the track).

music video of the day: "Christmas II (grinch)" by Grimes & Jay Worthy

Because I just spent the past two hours in a FaceTime argument/tet a tet/couple chat/head bang with my boyfriend about Grimes which ended with us agreeing that we " just want the best for her and for her to be herself". Indeed. Grimes rules. This is fun. I'm excited to hear the new album. Quote from her on the video above below...

Anyway - i like to periodically release songs since my album is taking so long and i make a lot of songs that i wouldn’t put on an album but i nonetheless enjoy so thats what this is.

me and my step bro jay worthy make an annual christmas song with our siblings in order to avoid obligatory dinner. this is NOT a single from the upcoming album, not a serious piece of art in any capacity and not an official grimes release

also —made this song in prob less than 2 hours so please excuse my terrible production, + it is not mixed or mastered.

music video of the day: "Birth In Reverse" by St. Vincent

I was lucky enough to catch St. Vincent live three times this year. NXNE in Toronto (she played the shut down streets of Yonge & Dundas Square), Pitchfork Fest in Chicago (in which she smashed her head into a kick drum) and then Pitchfork Paris (I took a photo, see below). Each time Annie Clark has shred me to bits. Each time she gives me chills. She's a rock god and a beast of talent. Her 2014 album is a favourite of the year and now she's nominated for a Grammy. Fingers crossed, she wins. And she should. Obviously.
